BUZZ'S VEGETARIAN BURGER

When meat won't do!

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups cooked and well drained, red lentils
2 cups cooked and well drained, garabanzo beans
1 cup grilled Portobello mushrooms, minced
1 cup bulghour wheat (coarse)
1 cup finely chopped raw hazelnuts
2 cloves roasted garlic, chopped or mashed
1 cup whole wheat bread crumbs
1 tablespoon A-1ฎ sauce
2 tablespoons hazelnut oil oil
1/4 teaspoon summer savory, minced
1/2 teaspoon mesquite smoke flavor or 1 tablespoon mesquite barbecue sauce
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

PREPARATION:
•Set grill to medium hot.

•In a large mixing bowl, mash lentils and garabanzos until smooth. Add all other ingredients and mix until thoroughly combined. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the "burger" dough to set and firm up. Form into burgers. Brush the burgers with corn oil and grill for 6 minutes on each side or until done. Serve just as meat burgers, by adding cheese if desired for cheeseburgers, onions, mustard, tomatoes or whatever you like on your burgers.
