JEWISH DATE/NUT BREAD
INGREDIENTS: SERVES 4-6
1 lb. coarsely chopped dates
1 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
5 Tablespoon(s)flour
2 Teaspoon(s) baking powder
¾ Cup(s) sugar
⅛ Teaspoon(s) salt
1 Teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
3 unbeaten eggs
DIRECTIONS:
1. Mix all together.
2. Pour into 10-inch square pan and bake 45 minutes at 325℉.
3. Let stand until not quite cool, 10 to 15 minutes.
4. Cut into bars.
5. Roll each bar in confectioners sugar.
